INNER CHILD AND ANCESTRAL HEALING
Reconnecting with a Lost Part of Yourself
Inner Child Therapy is a gentle, powerful process that allows you to reconnect with the younger part of yourself - the part that holds your early experiences, emotions, and beliefs. Within each of us lives an “inner child” - the spontaneous, creative, intuitive part of our nature. It is also the part that can carry wounds - formed through early experiences of hurt, misunderstanding, or unmet needs. When these experiences are not resolved, they can continue to influence how we feel, think, and behave as adults.
How a Session Works
This is a deeply immersive session, usually lasting around three hours. Using a relaxed, focused state, we create a safe and supportive inner space where you can reconnect with your inner child. From here, the process allows you to:
- access the part of you that may have felt hurt, unseen, or unsafe
- understand when and where those feelings began
- begin a process of healing, support, and reconnection
A Deeper Level of Understanding
As the process unfolds, it can also include a broader perspective. You may explore:
- the experiences of parents or caregivers in their own childhood
- the patterns that may have been passed through generations
- how early environments shaped emotional responses and beliefs
Healing & Integration
As healing takes place, the inner child begins to feel:
- safer
- heard
- supported
What Can Affect the Inner Child?
Early experiences can shape how we see ourselves and the world. This may include:
- criticism or negative messages about self-worth
- lack of emotional support or understanding
- fear, instability, or confusion in early environments
These experiences can lead to patterns such as:
- low confidence or self-doubt
- difficulty trusting others
- emotional reactivity or withdrawal
- feeling “stuck” or unable to move forward
Why These Patterns Continue
In many cases, childhood experiences were never fully processed or understood. Feelings may have been:
- dismissed
- misunderstood
- or simply not acknowledged
The Outcome of This Work
Inner Child Therapy is designed to:
- release stored emotional pain
- shift limiting beliefs formed early in life
- restore a sense of safety and self-worth
- support emotional balance and resilience
A Broader Perspective
There is growing understanding that emotional patterns can be passed through generations. This field, often referred to as epigenetics, explores how experiences and beliefs can influence how we respond to the world. By bringing awareness to these patterns, it becomes possible to change them - not only for yourself, but in a wider sense, for those connected to you.
When you reconnect with the part of you that was once hurt - you create the opportunity to feel whole again.
Ancestral Healing - Healing the Pattern at Its Source
Within Inner Child work, it is clear that our experiences are not shaped by childhood alone. Many of the patterns we carry - beliefs, emotional responses, ways of relating - are part of a deeper inheritance, passed through generations. These patterns can be supportive… but they can also be limiting.
A Woven Approach to Healing
Rather than treating Inner Child healing and Ancestral healing as separate processes, this work brings them together. They are interconnected - like threads in a tapestry. If one thread is addressed in isolation, the deeper pattern can remain. When they are explored together, the whole system can shift.
How It Works
In a relaxed, focused state, we gently explore:
- early life experiences and emotional imprints
- the origins of recurring beliefs and behaviours
- patterns that may extend beyond your own lifetime
Healing Across Generations
As awareness develops, you may begin to understand:
- what previous generations experienced
- how those experiences shaped the environment you were born into
- how certain patterns were passed forward
This is not about blame - it is about context, compassion, and resolution. Within the process, there is an opportunity to:
- release inherited emotional patterns
- shift long-held beliefs
- bring in new perspectives rooted in safety, connection, and self-worth
The Impact
When these deeper layers are addressed, people often experience:
- a release from patterns that felt “hard-wired”
- greater emotional freedom and stability
- a stronger sense of identity and self-direction
- more ease in relationships and decision-making
Reflection
When the past is understood and gently resolved - both personal and ancestral - the future no longer needs to repeat it.
